Recovery

Recovery

After 5 days back on land and some exercise and good sleep (much thanks to our friends who lent us beds) we are finally recovered from the journey back to Guam from Yap. It took almost exactly 9 days. Our engine was only what we deemed usable part of the time and we had some lulls in the wind that left us floating about but in general this was pretty good time to get back given the currents and wind. This week we are focusing on trying to get the engine ready for the northern part of our trip to Rota, Saipan, Tinian, and Pagan. We should have more stories from Yap and the trip back coming to the blog though. Pictures too! Stay tuned!

This picture is from when we finally made it to 144oE.  Going East was slow due to the weather.  We were pretty excited when we finally got here.  The entrance to the harbor is located roughly at 144o 37′ E.
